Today, Sunday, December 5, 2021, we are hosting at Bar-Ilan University, the 6th Korean Studies Workshop in Israel. Headed by Dr. Alon Levkowitz, from Bar-Ilan University, who initiated this workshop six years ago.
The idea of the workshop is to create a Korean studies community in Israel and to assist the graduate student do upgrade their academic research with the assistance of all the Korean Studies scholars in Israel.
“The Korean Embassy in Israel and the Dangoor Centre support this workshop each year, stressing the importance of this workshop. Holding this workshop at Bar-Ilan University, demonstrates the importance of Korean Studies at Bar-Ilan University.” says Dr. Levkovitz
“We decided to organize the workshop at the Hanukkah holiday, in order to allow all the Israeli students and lecturers to attend the workshop, as well as to celebrate Hanukkah together” added Dr. Danielle Gurevitch the head of the Dangoor Centre.
This year, the 6th Korean Studies Workshop in Israel, will include scholars and graduate students in Korea Studies from all around the world. In addition to the scholars and students from Israel, other participants will be scholars and students from: Korea, Japan, Russia, Sweden and the United States.
